Daily Devotion(month of march)
this is the daily devotion for the month of march, of course i won't type everything here...juz a few good points..for those who didn't have time to read through, and for those friends of mine who is a believer and who does not have the devotion thing, and practically, for everyone..haha...enjoy...
March 1 (emotional outburst):
~we need to monitor our emotions during times of stress and beware of the dangers of making decisions when we have low emotional reserves.
~with privilege comes great responsibility
~In the Lord's eyes, the measure of success is not the outcome of the effort, but the obedience of His servant.
March 3 (persistent prayer):
~Faith is the persistent praying-crying out day and night to God for answers. The attitude of faith understands that a vision takes time to fulfill.
~Only by relentless persistence will you receive the answers to your prayers.
~Faith is never a dry technique or formula
~Faith is a heartfelt attitude that persists in trusting and praying no matter how tough a situation may be.
March 5 (a good shepherd):
~a shepherd must always lead his sheep into new pastures-new experiences, fresh anointing and greater revelations of God's truth.
~ A leader must lead from the front and be a trailblazer for his people.
~ A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep
March 6 (promise keeper):
~ A christian must learn to love truth and communicate truth when he or she makes a promise.
~Five principles about God's Word: 1) God's Word is the expression of His nature, 2) God's Word is the measure of His character, 3) God's Word is magnified above His name, 4) God's Word is the sole source of faith and the absolute rule of conduct, 5) God's Word is His bond.
~ Because God's Word is His bond, our word must be our bond!
March 8 (bitterness):
~Bitterness reproduces quickly and can be very very dangerous to your mental and emotional well-being.
~Bitterness comes in when one fails to appropriate the grace of God to overcome disappointment or a hurtful experience.
~To gain victory over bitterness, we need to go to the cross.
~ The cross speaks of self-denial, forgiveness, forgetting.
March 9 (power unlimited):
~ 4 important reasons why we all need the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives: 1) Power to become, 2) Power to be, 3) Power to overcome, 4) Power to witness
March 15 (thanksgiving):
~Four reasons why we give thanks: 1) thanksgiving is a command from God, 2) thanksgiving is the sure indication that the Holy Spirit is in you, 3) thanksgiving is the will of God for you, 4) thanksgiving is part of bringing your prayer request before the Lord.
~ Two wonderful miracles that will happen when we give thanks: 1) Thanksgiving opens the pathway for you to come into God's presence, 2) Thanksgiving is the key that unlocks God's supernatural power
March 16( Receiving the Holy Spirit):
~ 5 steps to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit: 1) Repentence, 2) Thirsting, 3) Asking, 4) Drinking, 5) Yielding.
~ Twofold surrender to God: 1) the surrender of yourselves, 2)the surrender of your physical body
March 24 (circumcise your heart):
~circumcision is to cut away the flesh
~few evidence of a circumcision heart: 1) a circumcised heart is compliant, 2) a circumcised heart does not resist the Holy Spirit, 3) a circumcised heart does not resist preachers sent by God, 4) a circumcised heart is humble, broken, and repentent, 5) a circumcised heart is quick to forgive and release people for the offenses they have committed.
March 25 (ready for leadership):
~important reasons why Joshua is a great leader: 1) Joshua's hunger for God's presence, 2) Joshua's commitment to obey God, 3) Joshua's integrity and character, 4) Joshua's discipleship by Moses, 5) Joshua's godliness
~ Joshua was a powerful leader because he was a godly leader. Joshua was a godly leader because he was a godly man
March 27 (be strong and courageous):
~what exactly is needed in leadership?
~ 1) courage.... what is courage? Courage is the capacity to do what is right even when it is unpopular. A courageous person will do what is right in the midst of opposition and mockery, even when there are no perceived benefits to him at all.
~2) boldness...to be bold is to have confidence. courage relates to character, boldness relates to personality.
3) strength...strength is the ability to stand up on your feet whenever you are knocked down.
4) wisdom...knowledge is the getting of information. understanding is the analyzing of information. wisdom is solving the problem.
why did i bold March 27? because this entry really sink into my heart strongly when i read it and it seems to apply to me that i need this 4 qualities in my walk with God...
