Ever wonder what my baptism name means? or have you ever wonder what great works that women in the bible does? I have...and even before i was baptise, or after i am baptise, i still do not know what the women Abigail in the bible did...yes, i know what it means..it can be "Father's Joy" or "God is Joy"...and this is good for me at that time, as it will remind that my God is Joy..and there is nothing for me to be upset about, or to be depressed about..and after i'm baptised, i really felt happy...very very happy...not that because i'm baptised, but it seems like a change...and now, i know what that character in the bible did..and now i understand why bro Gabriel said that that woman in the bible is a great woman of God..and indeed, she is..and he said that she is a beautiful woman in the bible..haha...well, there is 3 things about this character Abigail in the bible: 1) she is a wise woman, 2) she is a courageous woman and lastly 3) she is a prophetic woman...and if you read the story in 1 sam 25..you will know the rest...

and if you read through April 24 devotion, "The Fool"...it says at the bottom..tat "Abigail is a beautiful picture of the Chruch. Nabal is a picture of the nonbeliever or backslider. David is the picture of the soon-coming King. When you minister to Jesus, you are being wise like Abigail. You will be accepted and loved by Him. When you reject and dishonor Jesus, you are being foolish like Nabal. Jesus is coming back for His Abigails. Be one today!"

It is not just the name that matters, it is the characteristics of the person, the traits that she shows that we should follow, that we are to be like her, wise and courageous, a person with great leadership skills...that we will minister to Jesus, and be wise like her....
