A lesson to be learnt? Never to boast

"I stay in a condo and therefore i will know better......i own LV, Armani, Gucci, Versace etc and thus i will know better...." This is what that girl mentioned during the discussion. Well, the discussion is not about the standard of living, nor is it the quality of life. By doing this, she is trying to say that all those not staying in condos are stupid? all those that do not own those luxuries goods are not barbarians from the caves? Anyway, the discussion became a debate. As there are many of the people in the discussion who stays in HDB, she was sorta "killed" due to what she said about staying in a condo. It turned about that the condo that she stays in, is just a normal condo, not a freehold, nor is it an executive. Anyway, throughout the whole discussion, i think there's this guy that said something like this, "Many of us here stays in HDB. Does that mean that we are not as smart as you? By the way, i think its time for you to come out of your shelled thinking. What matters most is you yourself as an individual. Did you contribute or pay for the condo unit that you live in? I doubt you do. Besides, i can guarantee you there are tons of us right now in the room who stays in HDB but it turned out that they have got more capital than you can come out with. Before you make an assumption, please find out more by doing research before you come up here and speak and make a fool out of yourself." Haha..thats true. I do not know why, but i noticed that there is actually a minute for this discussion. Amazing. Well, i totally agree. One should never blabber in a discussion or debate unless you are very sure of what you are saying or that you have got prove to support your case.
