Virgina Tech Massacre. Everyone is talking about it now, some being concern, while others just wanna know so that they will not look bad when someone else asked them about it. During GP today, we discussed on this today. There was this notion brought up that the availability of guns should be restrained or to be limited to prevent such things from happening. I gave my views about it, and my teacher(of whom i shall not name here because she says that she checks blogs...) said "GOOD JOB! Yes, thats right!" to it. What i said is that of this: we must accept the fact that in America, guns are allowed to be bought basically by anyone as long as you purchase it with your identity card and all. The reduction of the number of guns to be sold would not solve the problem because as a country, they are very big in size. As we all know, the rural areas which is less developed are places whereby security are low in that area. So in order to protect oneself from being harmed or place in danger, one should not rely on the police force or security force alone. Well, then again, you would rebut me by saying that the government should do something about it. My answer to this is that the increase in the security forces may not help firstly because of the culture of the need for freedom. Secondly, the government would have to pump in lots of money and it does not seems feasible so the only way in which one would feel safe is through the purchase of a gun. In this way, you would not need to rely heavily upon the security forces around to protect you but rather, you would have been able to protect yourself in times of need. However, the opposite would happen too about guns being dangerous to those around people who possesses a gun. I will not go into details on this one as i guess this is easy to reason it out. Anyway, if one is determined to do what he had planned, like take for instance this case, even without a gun, he would have done so through other means to get his message across...probably through other forms of hand equipment which is easily available as well.

It is therefore easy to point fingers at individuals, organisations or government. But it is by knowing the situation, analyzing it, and coming out with the right solution that will help the situation. I've learnt this through my trip to MAS yesterday.

My visit to MAS/Currency House: the first time i've ever seen stacks of that huge sum of money in my entire life. NO ONE reading this entry can claim that they owned that amount of money in their bank, be it their's, their parents or their friends etc. NO ONE. I cannot really say in details what i saw in there, cause i dont know if i can say it or not, or the information that they tell us about in our visit there. They said that they seldom or rarely have visitors there, so i guess not many people knew much about it.

My link section at your right hand side is not yet complete. So if you want a place in my link, do let me know by tagging it on my tagboard. thanks.
